WLM 2009 W/n Open Attachments
Are OOo attachments targeted for this behavior, or does this happen to .doc/.docx files, too? Then, I exited WLM. It > seems the problem is with the software. Anyway, thanks a lot forfiguring out how to fix this problem then letting folks know.

Then I went back into the list of extensions, and there magically was the .eml extension. With all the complaints here,I fail to understand why Microsoft can't make a permanent fix to this problem with their software. Finally after spending two frustrating days I solved the .eml problem.
The problem is that Writer is saving edits to a temporary file created by WLM--a file which will be deleted when WLM is closed. Writer does not open attachments from WLM in read-only mode. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended. Windows 7.
