I am at the point where I will either have to buy a new computer, buy an external battery charger, or delegate this computer to be solely a desktop. Are you recommending using a lower-capacity transformer to speed up the laptop? Then I restarted on battery only, and when windows was up and logged in I plugged it in, and it started to charge again. so this means (MAYBE?) that my battery is working. After uninstalled the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery”, and drained complete the battery I did a ´reset´ pressing the power button for more than 30 sec.
This will bring the driver back.If that doesn't solve your problem, try draining the battery. I wanted to eliminate this possibility before opening up the laptop. Not only did the battery start charging but things that had slowed down were suddenly good as new. Its annoying if you are not aware about it and if you are planning to use your laptop on battery for longer time turn off this feature first.
