Since you've tested all other possible scenarios from RAM to hard drives, to GPU then the only other thing is the PSU. and if possible clone it to another hard drive and see if that hard drive helps... It normally takes a dropped screwdriver or an accident removing an old style clip in heatsink to actually damage one as they are embedded and not just laid on top. There's just so many things you could tweak to find the right balance for stability. It was crazy of me to buy it but it worked out. To locate them; 1) Type "View event logs" in the search box beyond start-menu 2) Look for critical errors / warnings during the times of freezing in applications / hardware / also what C states do you have enabled? lets see what happens. Obviously the only way to check is to swap out the power supply for another known good one.

in the past i had issues with a RAM stick/DIMM slot that if i were to move the PC even the smallest amount and it was on the PC would shut I'd start with video driver.
