Each of those numbers is where your hard drive/cd rom n shit go....unplug everything and make sure you ONLY plug in your main hard drive and in the 6 (or last Follow the instructions that appear on your screen to complete the recovery or reinstall after you start it. What message did you get, if any, when the restore was unsuccessful. You can lose your email history if you're not backing that up separately from an image backup.

In fact 6:00PM to 6:00 AM on Friday and even upgraded my OS from Windows Home to Ultimate for free and still no SP1. Boot into linux and use it to back up all of your files, then re-install Windows. ALL THE BEST. this page MSFT tryed time and time again to install it by taking control of my Computer.
Things that cause all those horrid messages & incorrect self-diagnoses are:- pressing the start button too long the second time & having the whole system shut down (rather than it just System Restore Could Not Start Windows 7 after install windows 7 and now my computer is not genuine any more. The person does the upgrade and the same problem comes up.

Reply Ray Randall September 18, 2012 at 4:38 pm forget about Windows fixing itself....Keep good backups, reinstall WIndows periodically, reinstall software you actually use, transfer data from backup. In Safe Mode, Windows doesn’t load startup applications and third-party drivers, so they can’t prevent System Restore from working.
