This is because Windows will always be using a portion of your memory, so you can't test it all from within the OS. If it still fails you can rule out the RAM. The next time it crashes without a memory dump - please include the entire log file.
Let it run for a few hours to see if that stick fails, or you get a BSOD then it's likely that stick.

Sometimes with BSOD, sometimes a Screenflickering followed by complete freeze.
