Reason i mention it is because when i had similar issues i think i also reset my router as well as updating the driver. Questions are to be asked, it helps you, me and others. I just bought a PCI ethernet card for 5€ and it works like a charm.
you mean to suggest the brand new board might have a bad lan? Just asking...
