Add-on cards avoid the issue altogether, since they are well separated from other sources of noise but itself.

Use the small size Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the fan onto the heatsink. Upon higher loads, GPU would begin to squeal. If the Windows Power Savings trick doesn't work, its up to you whether you can live with it. I don't know if this is your issue or not and I haven't been doing PC technician work for a while now.
