If anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated. When I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del, I saw the Welcome Screen, from which I accessed the Task Manager, with which I fixed the problem. Open Task Manager. If you don't like someone's advice, or if it didn't work for you, "It didn't work" is more than adequate to convey your view on the matter. I haven't worked anywhere that people actually use Windows 8.1 in their company. Eh, Beats a re-install.Thought I might share coz it took me hours to figure out. You may encounter this black screen or even blue screen of death when installing Windows 10 Technical Preview, updating from Windows 8.1, Windows 8 or Windows 7.
